“I asked for support, and I got it. People forget that psychotherapists are human beings too, and we can have stressful things happen in our lives just like anyone else. I was feeling bullied at work, and I couldn't pass my CTSR [Cognitive Therapy Scale – Revised]. Umberto helped me pass it and helped me regain my confidence.”

It’s up to you - most accreditation bodies have their requirements, for example 90 minutes per month for the BACP, but we can schedule for as often and as long as you require as an individual or as a group.
If you’re seeking supervision for your continued professional development, we can decide together what works best for you and your practice.
Why choose me as your supervisor?
Supervision should be a space where you feel supported, challenged and encouraged to grow as a therapist. My approach is collaborative, reflective and tailored to your individual learning needs. Working together, you can expect:
A safe, supportive space to explore your clinical work with confidence.
Constructive challenge to help strengthen your clinical thinking and decision-making.
Supervision tailored to your level of experience, whether you're a trainee or an established practitioner.
An integrative approach informed by CBT, EMDR, attachment theory and compassion-focused approaches.
Guidance with complex presentations, including trauma and PTSD.
Support with professional development, BABCP accreditation and private practice.
The supervision I offer is enriched by experience in teaching, delivering workshops, presenting research and maintaining an active involvement in academic work, providing a thoughtful, evidence-based approach to your professional development.
Receiving supervision continues to help me grow in competence and confidence, and has done over 20 years of clinical work, including 10 years in the NHS.
During my career I have amassed extensive expertise in supporting a wide range of clients with complex PTSD, childhood trauma, dissociation, addictions, phobias and relationship difficulties, and as a supervisee you can benefit from this experience and insight.
